This past weekend we traveled to sunny Pasadena, CA to attend CatCon and share in their mission to “spread joy and goodness to cats and the people who love them.” Over 20,000 attendees (and 162 cats!) enjoyed two days of seminars, celebrity cat meet & greets, and explored 157 feline-focused vendors. We had a wonderful time sharing the success of the Assisi Loop® with pet owners, celebrities, and veterinary professionals, as well as hearing their own treatment stories about the Loop.

Our good friends Mike and Lil BUB were there and held both a meet & greet and speaking engagement. Additionally, Kitten Lady was in attendance and received the honor of Advocate of the Year at the CatCon Awards. She took the stage on Day 2, sharing the story about her paralyzed kitten Chloe and highlighted how the Loop aids in her therapy. Kitten Lady was even kind enough to stop by and say hello to the Assisi team at our booth! Both Chloe and Lil BUB continue to use the Assisi Loop, and their owners love the results and the Loop’s ability to provide pain relief for cats.

Our location for Assisi Animal Health was straight across from the ASPCA booth, where 150 cats were brought in for adoption. Those who attended were able to play with the adoptable kitties, and almost all the cats were adopted to their forever homes!

This year, $2 of every ticket sold and a portion of the money raised by all meet & greets was donated to the Ian Somerhalder Foundation, which is a non-profit with the mission “to empower, educate and collaborate with people and projects to positively impact the planet and its creatures.” In the past, CatCon has donated over $70,000 to a variety of charities to benefit cats in need, including Lil BUB’s Big Fund and Kitten Rescue.

As each year passes, CatCon grows and attracts more cat lovers. People came from all over, sharing stories about their felines and learning about the proven science and positive results behind the Loop. We directly spoke with over 500 interested cat owners, and it was an incredible experience to be able to both educate attendees on the benefits of the Loop, as well as hear their own stories about how the Loop enabled their cat to see an acceleration in healing.
